Our Vision

This is not simply another ‘Bible School’ or ‘School of Prayer’.

The vision for SBU was given to eliminate the pain of vain labour in prayer and other spiritual endeavours (work, exercise etc) in the body of Christ.

The most vital question of this generation of Christian is:

“why are we not seeing as much results as our labour in prayer and service deserves?”

We believe and profess God is faithful – He desires to show this more in practical effective ways. What stands between many believers and the due results of their prayers is our inability to understand the things of the Spirit.

Our Uniqueness

While SBU is unique it is, at the same time, well integrated in what God is doing in our days. 

Our focus is on the following areas:

- Emphasis on practical outworking over theory:

- Believers intimacy with the Holy Spirit, and consequent ability to identify, interpret and obey the voice of God;

- Walking in divine empowerment so as to avoid being vulnerable to spiritual attacks during spiritual warfare;

- Inspired evangelism, eliminating obstacles to effective witnessing and soul harvesting in the 21st Centuary

Our Programme

 SBU is a short-term intensive two-day per month programme, tailored to meet the needs of the Body of Christ. The programme can be adapted for use in churches, mobile or regional settings and amongst any group of people.

SBU has two phases: teaching and practical outworking. There will be Bible studies to work on for each following session. 

Using the topics you will be encouraged to understand what God says about himself and apply this in prayer.Through these studies there will be practical out workings of what has been learnt and provide evidence-based testimony of God’s faithfulness in prayer and service. Ample time will be given to share testimonies in the subsequent class.

SBU is different from a Bible School or Schools of Prayer because of the emphasis on practical outworking over theory. Though there will be sessions of teaching to get a grip on spiritual understanding of the ‘who’ and ‘how’ of Biblical truth, This will be followed by small group discussions of the study texts and a plenary session. SBU will encourage practical experience of the joy of fruitfulness and good results promised by God to all that diligently serve Him.

THE PROGRAMME

The SBU programme is in 3 modules. Each module lasts for 3 months.

In total, you will attend SBU over 9 months – 9 Saturdays.
